Following the tragic loss of Italian football player Davide Astori, Tottenham and Juventus observed a moment of silence before the start of the second leg of their Champions League game on March 7 at Wembley Stadium in London.

The silence was broken by spontaneous applause from fans.

“Preliminary results of an autopsy on the body of Davide Astori confirmed that the Fiorentina captain died of natural causes related to a heart issue,” ESPN reported.

Astori “was found dead in his hotel room in Udine, where Fiorentina had been due to face Udinese at the Dacia Arena” on March 4, Reuters reported.
