Sweet peas: How to make gum paste sweet peas for cakes

In this cake decorating tutorial I show you how to make some sweet peas to decorate your cakes with. I use flower and modelling paste / gum paste in the video to make my sweet peas, you could also mix some fondant in there if you would prefer. Using only fondant may not be strong enough on its own to stop the sweet pea from tearing, this is why its a good idea to at least mix in some modelling paste / gum paste / sugar paste or mexican paste. You could also use fimo / polymer clay / sculpey to create your sweet pea flower, although then it may not be suitable for cakes.
