China removed the presidential term limits from its constitution this week.

This gives President Xi Jinping the right to remain in office permanently.

The amendment was proposed last month and had only 2 "no" votes.

Xi’s political theory was also inserted into the constitution.

He gained his power after becoming party chief in 2012.
