Students held a demonstration outside the White House in Washington DC on March 14 to highlight their frustration over gun laws in the United States.
The protest, organized by the Women’s March Youth Empower, was part of a national walkout in remembrance of the victims of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, which happened one month prior, on February 14.
This video shows the students’ march to the White House chanting and holding banners. It also shows students sitting in silence with a fist raised in the air. The uploader said they observed 17 minutes of silence, one minute for each person who died in the Parkland shooting. Credit: Abby Cruz via Storyful
