The European Union's Brexit negotiator Michelle Barnier and his UK counterpart David Davis have agreed a deal for a British withdrawal from the EU.
After talks on Monday, both sides reached a two-year transition deal, which the UK is calling an implementation period, to give Britain time to adjust after leaving the bloc in March next year.
The deal will give the UK access to the single market and customs union, as well as allow the movement of businesses and people for 21 months after Brexit.
However key sticking points remain, including the issue of keeping open the Irish border.
