Jake Williams and his coworker were lucky enough to kayak with a humpback whale off the coast of Seacrest Beach in Florida.
Williams and his coworker, Jake Ritch, were having a normal work day until they spotted something about half a mile offshore. Williams and Ritch paddled out until they were about 200-300 yards from the whale, and it was then it decided to pop out of the water and Ritch started to film. This report says the whale was circling underneath the two coworkers for more than ten minutes, leaving Williams with " the best experience of my life."
Humpback whales are typically spotted in places like the Gulf of Mexico due to their migration patterns. According to this report, they are known to begin migration in March from warmer waters back to places like the coast of Iceland due to the abundance of food there. Credit: Jake Williams via Storyful
