In this video we will show you step by step-how to make “Besan Ke ladoos”. The crunchy texture and taste of these “Besan ke ladoos” is very addictive and you might end of eating more than one every time.\r
\r
In English Besan Ke ladoo: - An Indian sweet made from a mixture of gram flour, sugar, butter oil, which is shaped into a ball.\r
\r
Ingredients:\r
\r
2 cups Gram flour (Besan) \r
1-2 cup clarified butter or butter oil (Ghee)\r
1 ½ cup of super fine granulated sugar.\r
Water \r
Small quantity of sliced almonds, nuts or cashews\r
\r
“Besan ke ladoos” are also called “Magadh ke ladoos”\r
This sweet lasts for at least 1-2 months\r
\r
To start with, Preheat the pan on medium heat. Add ½ cup of GHEE (clarified butter or butter oil) and we will add the remaining quantity later on.Stir it well.\r
\r
GHEE (Clarified butter or butter oil) helps in adding flavor to the ladoos and they last long for at least 1-2 months.\r
\r
Add 2 cups of gram flour – the flour I am using is thick and especially used to make ladoos. If you want you can also use the regular gram flour too.\r
\r
Make sure the stove is on medium heat and let the “roasted gram flour” stirring constantly to make sure the mixture didnt stick to the bottom of the wok / pan. Roast it for a while!\r
Add 1 tablespoon of Ghee (Clarified butter or butter oil) and keep stirring it constantly.\r
\r
Ass ½ tablespoon of cardamom powder and keep stirring it.\r
Stove heat is still on medium. Add some natural sliced almonds. If you want, you can also add cashews / Nuts.\r
\r
The reason, why I added sliced almonds now is to make sure that they get roasted with gram flour. Rest of the sliced almonds, I will use it in the end to garnish the ladoos.\r
\r
Once the color of the gram flour changes to light golden and a sweet aroma is released sprinkle some water. Keep stirring and allow the water to evaporate. Water sprinkling might cause small crumbs of gram flour to form which gives a wonderful texture to the ladoos.\r
\r
Transfer the mixture to the tray to allow mixture to cool down a little, Spread it on the tray to remove the heat from the mixture so that we can hold the Besan (Gram flour) in hands to make “Besan balls”.\r
\r
Since we took 2 cups of gram flour when we started so now we will add 1 ½ cup of superfine granulated sugar (“Bhura” in Hindi).\r
Dont grind the regular sugar and use it. Make sure you use “superfine granulated sugar”. Its easily available in the market.\r
Mix it well using your both hands.\r
\r
Now grease both of your hands with little oil and form small balls of the mixture.\r
\r
Its all done. For garnish I placed a pistachio on the center top. Hope you all like It.!!!!!!!!\r
