A 25-year-old teacher was shot at by unknown gunmen in Khandaypora village of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district late Thursday, police said. Reports said that gunmen fired upon at Sayer Ahmad Wani outside a mosque in his native Chancer village around 8:45 pm. Wani was returning to a seminary where he teaches when he was shot at. SSP Kulgam Shridhar Patil said the youth sustained a bullet wound in one of his legs. He was shifted to district hospital Kulgam where his condition is stated to be stable, said Patil, adding that a case has been registered and investigation taken up.
