A reporter asked White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders if President Trump has considered “stepping down” due to “all of this turmoil.”
April Ryan, a reporter with American Urban Radio, asked White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Tuesday if President Trump has considered calling it quits.
"With all of this turmoil, particularly last week, has the president at any time thought about stepping down before or now?" Ryan noted. Sanders was quick to respond, saying, "I think that's an absolutely ridiculous question." As the press secretary swiftly moved on to another reporter, Ryan stated that the question was "not ridiculous." Trump's time in office has been rather tumultuous, and he did appear to be aggrieved by Monday's FBI raid targeting his personal attorney Michael Cohen. He called the issuing of the search warrant a "real disgrace" and again referred to special counsel Robert Mueller's Russia investigation as a "witch hunt." The Washington Post reports that Cohen is "under federal investigation for possible bank fraud, wire fraud and campaign finance violations, according to three people with knowledge of the case."
