This video is a practice exercise for learning bead placement on multipass stick welds.
I used 7014 electrodes but almost any electrode would offer good practice.
I started with 1/4" steel and welded one bead.
then I stacked 2 beads over top that single root pass.
then I stacked 3 beads over top of those 2 beads for a total of 6 beads.
In order to get all the use out of the material, beads can be stacked until there is no more room on the plate.
This will require letting the meal cool off periodically but will offer a lot of practice and hood time with very little material.
