Eighteen Rohingyas from Myanmar, including three children and four women who had entered India via Bangladesh illegally, were arrested in Tripura on Thursday. In the past as well, the Rohingyas have entered India in their search for work opportunities. But subsequently, they have been pushed back and denied permission due to legal and security formalities. Over 670,000 Rohingyas of Rakhine province in Myanmar have fled their homes since the end of August last year after a wave of violence that was perpetrated against them.
