The teaser for Ae Dil Hai Mushil has taken the internet by storm. Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma look hot as ever, but it was Aishwarya’s character that got everybody intrigued. According to reports, Aishwarya will be playing the role of a troubled and insecure poet, with a history of heartbreak.

Karan Johar in an interview recently said that all the main characters are complex and immensely progressive. About Aishwarya’s character, he said that she is a poet who knows that she isn’t taken seriously by her own community. This is partly because she isn’t a very good poet, but also because she is too beautiful to be taken seriously.

Karan also said that Anushka’s character will be from a dysfunctional family. He says: “Everyone has a broken hearted situation in some way. I have to say, though, that they are both incredibly strong and complex women characters, while being completely different in terms of character goals”
