At least 276 people were arrested following violent clashes at May Day protests in Paris, France.
Le Monde reported the peaceful demonstration against French President Emmanuel Macron’s labor reform proposals took a violent turn with masked protesters attacking businesses and street furniture. Police estimated 20,000 people gathered for the protest, but unions suggested the number was closer to 55,000, the report said.
