Surveillance footage from San Francisco Airport shows how close an Air Canada airplane came to crashing into other planes as it attempted to land on July 7, 2017.

The NTSB released the footage on Wednesday, May 2, as part of opening the public docket on the case. The docket includes reports, interview summaries, photos and the video, but the NTSB also said the investigation is ongoing and no conclusions should be made.

In the incident, the Air Canada plane was cleared for landing but lined up with the parallel taxiway where four planes were awaiting to takeoff. The Air Canada jet descended below 100 feet above the ground and initiated a go-around after overflying for first airplane on the taxiway.

The video released by the NTSB shows the incident in the top lefthand corner. The NTSB had previously released an enhanced image captured from the video.

The Air Canada incident was one of several to take place at San Francisco Airport over a series of months. The FAA has determined the incidents were due to pilot error, a news report said. Credit: NTSB via Storyful
