No Indian flyer is on the government’s national ”no flyer list” yet, eight months after the concept of such a list was created with guidelines aimed at unruly passengers, who would pose a potential threat to other flyers. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) stated airlines need to follow due process and put persons on the no-fly list to ensure that the passengers can’t also fly on any other airline. However, the DGCA is yet to receive any names to add to the list. There are three levels of offences on which severity of punishment depends. The rules were enforced within months of a Shiv Sena MP Ravindra Gaikwad, beating up an elderly Air India employee over the seat allotted to him.
