Residents in al-Lataminah said they were forced to take shelter underground in tunnels from intense bombardment from Syrian government forces and their allies on May 6.

In this footage, a man uses a piece of cloth to climb out of a tunnel cut into the rock in front of a damaged home. The person filming says they are hiding underground because of the bombardment.

At :026, the man climbing says there are no more houses that are safe, and later at 0:44, the person filming asks the man climbing if he doesn’t have somewhere else to go. The man gestures to a house full of holes and says “that was mine.” Credit: Ahmed Hamwy via Storyful
