‘Saturday Night Live’ Got a Nice Ratings Boost From Donald Glover Glover starred as both the host and the musical guest on this week’s new episode of ‘Saturday Night Live’. According to Deadline, ‘SNL’ bagged a 4.1 live/same day rating and a 1.8 in the 18-49 age demographic. By comparison, the previous new episode, on April 14, got and 3.9 and 1.7 in the same categories. Saturday was a big night for Glover for other reasons, dropping a new single from his musical alter-ego, Childish Gambino. The song, called “This Is America”, was dropped along with an incredibly artistic music video that has gotten rave reviews for its depiction of violence in America.
