Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has a long history of supporting the British Military, and is committed to helping ex-Service personnel transition into successful civilian careers. The car manufacturer signed the British Armed Forces Military Covenant in 2014, and was official partner of the first Invictus Games in London and subsequent events in Orlando (2016) and Toronto (2017). JLR works with the Career Transition Partnership (CTP) to provide insight days and work experience opportunities for Service personnel. These opportunities help people to understand what careers are available outside of the military and are offered to all Service leavers and veterans. Subject to availability and individual circumstances, participants can spend time with different teams at JLR, to help identify the right roles for their skill set, while gaining CV and vocational advice. This gives the opportunity to meet with hiring managers and veterans who have already been through the transition process. Since April 2017, more than 60 veterans have visited JLR before submitting an application.
