Voting starts in West Bengal for Panchayat Elections under tight security arrangement. Polling started from 7 o'clock in the morning. However, voting gets delayed in many areas due to heavy rains. There was a fast campaign for Panchayat elections in one phase. The ruling trinamul Congress, the BJP, the Congress and the Left Front in the state have charged the allegations against each other on the violence during filing nomination papers for elections.
