Normally the Vantage GT8 feels like a very special car, but joining the Mille Miglia from Rome to Parma surrounded by old Bugattis, Ferraris, Aston Martins and many Mercedes 300SLs, started to put things in perspective!
The Mille Miglia is a legendary event, the current form being a tribute to the old racing of 1927-1957 where it still takes place on public roads but with closed trial sections. With around 500 period cars taking part, along with accompanying Ferrari Tribute and Mercedes Challenge events too. Add all of those cars together, each of which are truly being driven properly, and you are talking about about half a BILLION pounds in terms of value.
It's truly something special, definitely one to experience as 5 million people line the roads with the thousands of cars going past through the weekend.
