A couple attending a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field decided it was the perfect opportunity for a baseball-themed gender reveal for their baby. Sadly, it was a swing and a miss for the dad-to-be.

Onlooker Jeffrey Habjan shared video of the botched reveal, writing, “Was walking to Wrigley and saw a gender reveal happening, so glad I stopped to film it.”

What he filmed showed the expectant mother throwing a powder-filled ball to her partner, the idea being that the strike of the dad-to-be’s bat would reveal the color inside.
