Deadpool 2 is the hotly anticipated sequel to 2016's breakout superhero hit, Deadpool. Starring Ryan Reynolds in the lead role, the film picks up shortly after the events of the first one, when a time travelling cyborg rattles Wade Wilson into action, and helps him find purpose in life.
Original director Tim Miller departed the project after creative differences arose between him and Reynolds, who had a different idea for where they should take the sequel. Miller was replaced by David Leitch, who had previously co-directed John Wick, and the spy thriller, Atomic Blonde. Leitch will now move on to the Fast & Furious spinoff featuring Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham's characters.
