Cambridge Analytica has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in the United States. The company is the political consultancy at the center of Facebook’s privacy scandal. Cambridge Analytica was accused of improperly using data of 87 million Facebook users since 2014. This information was then allegedly used for Donald Trump’s 2016 election campaign. After these allegations the company suffered a sharp drop in business and were forced to file bankruptcy.
