Tesla's semi-autonomous driver assistance feature was one of the the things that set the company apart from its competition, but has recently been attracting attention for the wrong reasons in recent months. Two fatal accidents involving Autopilot have illustrated the concerns some auto companies have about semi-autonomous driver assistance systems. Tesla has repeatedly said Autopilot is meant to be used with an attentive driver whose hands are on the wheel.
