A student captured a “code red” lockdown inside her Indiana high school classroom after a shooting occurred at a nearby middle school on May 25.

A teacher and a student were injured and a student was in custody after a shooting at Noblesville West Middle School, according to media reports.

A “code red” was called at nearby Noblesville High School out of safety and precaution.

In the video, a student films her Noblesville High School classmates barricading the door with desks and chairs while a teacher urges her class to stay calm.

“This video was taken at the high school at 10:28 this morning after a ‘code red’ was called at 10:27,” the filmer said. “We had been trained for ALICE drills (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate), which are in case of a school shooter.”

“They tell us to barricade the door, grab anything we can use as a weapon, such as our books, iPads, phones — anything we could use — and hide in the corner so that you can't be seen from the door window,” the filmer said. “Our class was very fast and piled desk on top of desk in a matter of seconds in front of the door.”

“It lasted about 45 minutes, and we sat in a corner in almost complete silence,” the filmer said.

Later, when the class was in “code yellow,” the filmer captured parents running to meet their children from the middle school who were waiting at Gate 5 in front of Noblesville High School.
