Sixteen people were killed and nine were injured when a bus collided with a dump truck in a village in Dazhou city in China's southwestern Sichuan province on Sunday.

The bus was carrying 24 passengers, half of whom were students, Chinese media reports said. The dump truck, which was transporting sand and gravel, collided with the bus on a small road bridge and sent it crashing into the riverbed below. — Reuters
