The Israeli military said that fighter jets struck more than 35 sites in Gaza on May 29, after Palestinian militants launched what they said was the heaviest barrage of rockets since 2014.
The Israel Defense Forces said that the Iron Dome system “intercepted several launches” on May 29, though one kindergarten in an Israeli kibbutz near the border with Gaza was said to have been hit by mortar strikes.
Haaretz said five Israelis were wounded.
