My Mumbai friends Yash and Ajay met up with me in the Bandra locality to go eat Indian Street Food. Our first stop was Elco restaurant to try some Pani Puri. From there we headed to Bandstand to see some Bollywood houses and try some Ice Gola.
Next we say Mt. Mary Church, one of the oldest churches in the area. We then tried a Chicken Tikka wrap to finish our tour of Bandra. The Chicken Tikka was delicious!
We quickly jumped in an Uber and headed to the Matunga locality to visit Ayyappan Idli Stall, a southern Indian restaurant that is favorite amongst people from Mumbai. Here we tried Masala Dosa, Dal Vada, Idli and Medu Vada! Southern Indian food is a whole different world, and it's delicious!
We then saw the flower market, grabbed some coconut water and visited Kabutar Khana a place where you can feed thousands of pigeons. After all that we did like Mumbian's do and jumped on a local train. Mumbai local trains are experiences on there own!
I hope you loved this Indian street food tour of Bandra and Matunga! We ate so many delicious things and experienced Mumbai the way locals do!
