President Trump on Thursday again slammed ABC after "Roseanne" cancellation.
President Trump on Thursday again slammed the CEO of The Walt Disney Company, which owns the ABC network, for placing an apology call to Valerie Jarrett, the target of Roseanne Barr's racist tweet, but not to him.
"[Bob] Iger, where is my call of apology? You and ABC have offended millions of people, and they demand a response," Trump tweeted. "How is Brian Ross doing? He tanked the market with an ABC lie, yet no apology. Double Standard!"
This is his second tweet on the controversy surrounding Barr.
"Bob Iger of ABC called Valerie Jarrett to let her know that 'ABC does not tolerate comments like those' made by Roseanne Barr. Gee, he never called President Donald J. Trump to apologize for the HORRIBLE statements made and said about me on ABC. Maybe I just didn't get the call?" Trump had tweeted on Wednesday. According to reports, Iger placed the call to Jarrett prior to ABC announcing the cancellation of the 'Roseanne' reboot. CBS News reports that the show was quickly pulled from the network after Barr said of Jarrett, the African-American former adviser to Barack Obama, "Muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj." Barr has since apologized to "Jarrett and to all Americans."
