A flotilla left the port of Gaza on May 29 in an attempt to break the blockade imposed by Israel, according to Palestinian reports.
The flotilla was described as carrying students and protesters, some of whom had been injured in recent demonstrations.
The IDF said the Israel Navy had apprehended one boat attempting to breach the “legal naval blockade.” It said the boat was being towed to the Israeli Navy base in Ashdod and that anyone requiring medical assistance would be treated before being returned to Gaza.
