A state of emergency was issued in Rutherford County, North Carolina, on Wednesday, May 30, because of ongoing flooding issues from the remnants of Subtropical Storm Alberto.
People living along the Broad River were told to move to higher ground, a news report said. Area campgrounds were also evacuated.
