Competitors take part in the World Bog Snorkelling Championships, held at Waen Rhydd bog in Llanwrtyd Wells, Powys. Participants in the competition come from France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, Eire and Mali. A new record for the swim along a length of bog was set this year by Kirsty Johnson from Surrey with the time of 1min 22 secs.
