Eagles and hawks have been spreading their wings across Sunderland's Mowbray Park to help deter city centre seagulls. The park and its large ornamental pond are a favourite with visitors during school summer holidays. Yet, the City Council annually receives dozens of complaints that aggressive gulls are a nuisance.
