This is the moment have-a-go hero helped police capture a sprinting suspected drug dealer while he was arm-in-arm with his girlfriend.
A teen suspected of dealing Class A drugs was giving at least three officers the slip until a passer-by stopped him in his tracks in Clarence Street, Kingston, south west London.
The smartly-dressed man casually stuck out a well-timed leg to bring the suspect down at around 11.20pm on Saturday before officers pounced on him.
The Met Police said officers arrested a 17-year-old man on suspicion of possessing with intent to supply Class A drugs.
The Scotland Yard spokesman said detectives are not certain what drugs he was allegedly carrying, adding: "Tests are being carried out."
MPS Grove tweeted CCTV footage of the capture and added: "One drug dealer arrested after a little bit of help from a member of the public #hero."
The suspect was bailed until early April.
