Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal says he was "amazed" by his side's unexpectedly poor performance in the 3-0 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal stunned Manchester United with three goals in the opening 20 minutes from Alexis Sanchez (2) and Mesut Ozil which saw them leapfrog the Red Devils into second place in the table.

It was the first time that Manchester United have conceded three goals in the first 20 minutes of a Premier League match.
