Protesters marched to Richmond Police station on Saturday, June 2, following the police killing of 24-year-old black teacher Marcus-David Peters.

The rally started at the Siegel Center at Virginia Commonwealth University, where Peters graduated in 2016, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

This video was captured by non-profit Richmond Community Bail Fund. It shows protesters chanting; “Who do you protect? Who do you serve?” as they marched along West Broad Street.

Peters was shot in the stomach by Richmond police officer Michael Nyantakyi, after he was found rolling around naked on Interstate 95 following a car crash on May 14, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported. Nyantakyi reportedly shot him after he resisted arrest despite being tasered. His family have condemned the police handling of the case, saying Peters was suffering a mental health crisis.
