The third hearing in former president Lee Myung-bak's corruption trial is set to begin around now at the Seoul Central District Court.
The scandal-ridden ex-leader has shown up today,... after the court said it could not proceed with the trial unless the defendant is there in person.
Lee skipped the second hearing, citing poor health, and had requested the trial be held without him having to be present.
Lee,... who was president from 2008 to 2013,... faces 16 corruption-related charges, including bribery, abuse of power, embezzlement and tax evasion.
