The calendar was inching toward summer, but snow fell in parts of Newfoundland on Monday, June 4. A dusting of snow fell overnight as temperatures dipped below freezing.
Snow in June is rare in Newfoundland, and the last snow to fall in June happened 22 years ago at the St. John’s airport, a news report said.
