The typically dry Gascoyne River near Carnarvon flowed again on June 6 after heavy rain fell on the Pilbara region in Western Australia.
The West Australian reported June 6 was the wettest day for the region in 2018, with more than 50 mm of rain recorded in the towns of Karratha, Onslow, Paraburdoo and Newman.
The river, which is called Yagu Willa in the Yinggarda language, is normally dry and the flow of water is often a celebrated sight, according to PerthNow. Credit: Gascoyne In May via Storyful
