Fire crews struggled to contain two major wildfires in southwestern Colorado on Saturday, June 9.
This video of the 416 fire and the Burro fire burning simultaneously was filmed by eyewitness Sandy L. Bolyard from Kennebec Pass.
By Tuesday, June 12, the 416 fire north of Durango was estimated to have grown to 23,378 acres, the Denver Channel reported. Firefighters estimated they had contained the fire by just 15 percent, the report said.
Meanwhile, the Burro fire, burning to the west of the 416 fire, had reached 2,136 acres and had reportedly not been contained at all. Credit: Sandy L. Bolyard via Storyful
