Bounce pioneer Big Freedia was elevated to the mainstream consciousness in recent years when her voice was used on songs by Beyoncé (“FORMATION”) and Drake (“Nice For What”). In early June, the New Orleans native released her debut major label EP ‘3rd Ward Bounce’ featuring the lead single “Rent.” On the song, Freedia raps about giving an ultimatum to a significant other.
