Protesters took to the streets of Pittsburgh on Tuesday, June 26, calling for justice in the wake of the fatal police shooting of an unarmed 17-year-old, Antwon Rose. It was the first demonstration held since Rose’s funeral on Monday.
Demonstrators marched through the city, before arriving at the City-County Hall and listening to speeches from elected representatives and members of Rose’s family.
Rose was shot on Tuesday, June 19, when he ran from a vehicle involved in a traffic stop in East Pittsburgh. The vehicle had been stopped on suspicion of being involved in a shooting, and police arrested the driver as Rose ran from the vehicle. Police have said Rose was unarmed at the time of the shooting, and Michael Rosfeld was identified as the officer involved. Credit: Ninjanailo via Storyful
