USGS Drone Surveys Lava Flow From Active Fissure Near Kilauea

A US Geological Survey drone surveyed a fissure and lava flow in the East Rift Zone of Hawaii’s Kilauea volcano by night on June 29.

The USGS said they conduct night-time observations to identify “overflows and breaches of the channel.”
