Firefighters were called to tackle a large brush fire near a highway in Irwindale, California on Wednesday, July 11.
The blaze erupted at 15501 East Arrow Highway, according to a tweet from the LA County Fire Department.
By about 6 pm, the fire had burned 25 acres and was 50 per cent contained, NBC Los Angeles reported. The 210 Freeway remained open but motorists were advised to avoid the area, according to the report. The Metro Gold line was reportedly closed down in the area.
