South Korea's largest annual film festival kicked off on Thursday in Bucheon for a fantastic 11-day run.
The 22nd Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival features 290 films from 53 countries, and has the theme "Love, Fantasy and Adventure".
The festival opened with the premiere of the film "Underdog", a story of abandoned dogs directed by Oh Seung-yun and Lee Chun-baek.
For the first time in its history, the film festival also will screen nine North Korean feature and short films, including the family drama "The Story of Our Home", which won the best movie award at the 2016 Pyongyang International Film Festival.
The festival closes on the 22nd with the touching family movie "Secret Superstar" by renowned Indian director Amir Khan.
