According to Digital Trends, 12 more moons have been spotted orbiting Jupiter.
Researchers at the Carnegie Institution for Science noticed the additional moons while looking for a different celestial body.
According to the team's leader, Jupiter just happened to be in their way.
But it took several observations to spot the 12 additional moons orbiting Jupiter, including one that's only 1-kilometer wide.
The discovery from Carnegie brings the total known number of moons around Jupiter to 79.
