Three days of full-packed action with mountain biking, amusing side events and an exuberant festival atmosphere. More than 5,000 mountain bike fans were attracted to the Salzburger Land this year. The FMB Gold Slopestyle, as well as the Specialized Rookies Cup and approximately 50 exhibitors made their mark again on the prestigious GlemmRide Bike Festival. Saalbach Hinterglemm was yet again the hotspot of the international biker scene. The highlight of the festival was, as every year, the FMB Gold Slopestyle. International top riders such as Nicholi Rogatkin, Diego Caverzasi, Tomas Lemoine, Erik Fedko and Thomas Genon were the set riders in the lineup. The podium, however, showed a different look: the victory went to Torquato Testa (ITA) with 91.00 points. Thomas Genon (BEL) took the second spot with 84.66 points. The "Hero of the Weekend" Award goes to friendly Austrian Bernd Winkler from Hartberg. With his run he was able to convince the audience and obviously the judges and landed in third place with 83.66 points. With this result, he was also able to secure the much sought-after wildcard for the season highlight of the FMB Tour in Canada: The Joyride in Whistler. Bernd Winkler is therefore the first Austrian to start at Joyride.

Trick list of the TOP 3:

On Sunday, the Specialized Rookies Cup presented by iXS once again got down to business. The 2.3-kilometre track once again challenged the athletes with technical root fields and speed passages. In the speed discipline, two-wheeler allrounder and YouTube star Fabio Wibmer won the race in the "Open Men" class. Erich Wieland from Salzburg took second place ahead of Julian Neubauer. In the women's category Tyrolean Simone Wechselberger took the victory with a lead of 2.94 seconds ahead of Lisa Kreuzer and local hero Michelle Hagleitner. At the Bergamont Pumptrack one could prove their skills all weekend long. The eMTB Battle presented by Specilized & BMW attracted E-Bike fans to the race track on the Reiterkogel. At the AUVA Bike Workshop and in the Bike Trial Area by Bike Trial Salzkammergut, kids, as well as adults, were able to work on their riding technique. On the funny side of things, the Lines Bike Pulling and Loose-Shop.de Armwrestling provided great entertainment. Parties, of course, are also a part of the GlemmRide Bike Festival and go on until the early hours of the morning. Mountain Reggae Radio, Masters of Dirt, Erwin and Edwin, Wax Wreckaz and the worlds best beatboxer provided first-class entertainment.
