GOP Senator Rand Paul Rips Former US Intelligence Officials Rand Paul is doubling down on calls to revoke security clearances of former U.S. intelligence officials who have criticized President Donald Trump. The Republican Senator from Kentucky says the individuals in question are "bad apples." At a recent event in DC, Paul singled out former intelligence officials John Brennan, James Clapper and James Comey. He also criticized FBI attorney Lisa Page and former FBI agent Peter Strzok for “falsely accusing the president of treason and lying to members of Congress.” Paul has been vocal recently in his support of Trump's performance during a summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
