Rudy Giuliani weighed in on Michael Cohen's claim during a Fox News interview.
Rudy Giuliani, an attorney for President Trump, said on Monday that "collusion is not a crime." In an interview with Fox News' 'Fox & Friends,' Giuliani commented, "I have been sitting here looking in the federal code trying to find collusion as a crime. Collusion is not a crime."
This remark comes just days after CNN reported based on inside sources that Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen is claiming the president was aware his son and other campaign officials were planning to meet with Russians about Hillary Clinton despite repeated denials that the then-candidate knew about these plans in advance. Trump has refuted that claim and continues to deny that his campaign colluded with Russia. He tweeted on Sunday: "There is No Collusion! The Robert Mueller Rigged Witch Hunt, headed now by 17 (increased from 13, including an Obama White House lawyer) Angry Democrats, was started by a fraudulent Dossier, paid for by Crooked Hillary and the DNC. Therefore, the Witch Hunt is an illegal Scam!"
