Toxic red tide algae has killed marine life across shores in southwest Florida, leaving beaches near Sanibel and Fort Myers covered in dead animals.

Footage posted on July 29 shows hundreds of dead fish and eels littering the shores near the Sanibel Causeway.

According to the Miami Herald, Florida has been dealing with one of the worst red tides in decades.
